**All lip blush clients are highly advised in obtaining an anti-viral medication from their doctor,  especially if you have a history of getting cold sores in the past.  Permanent make up does not cause cold sores, however, if you carry the virus, it lays dormant in the nervous system and can be aroused by the infusion process.  A refill perscription should also be considered for your touch up appointment.

COSMETIC TATTOO AFTERCARE

  • Keep the area CLEAN.

  • It is very important to remove lymph fluid from the surface of the skin to prevent heavy scabbing. Before bed, rinse the area with lukewarm water, gently removing the dry lymph and gently pat dry.

  • Avoid soaps or facial cleansers on pigmented areas -wash around them- pat dry with a clean towel.

  • DO NOT rub, scratch or pick any crust along the tattooed area. Early removal of pigment crusts may result in loss of colour.

  • DO NOT apply makeup on the pigmented area during the healing process.

  • Avoid swimming, soaking, steam baths and facials for the 1st week.

  • Avoid applying exfoliates or AHA/glycolic acid products to the tattooed area for at least 2 weeks.

  • Avoid sun exposure (including tanning beds) during healing process.

For Eyebrows

  • The eyebrows may be swollen for the first few hours. The colour will look darker for the first 5-7 days, until the scab peels off. It will then look smaller and lighter. Try to sleep on your back during the healing process. Dry healing is recommended.

For Eyeliner

  • Healing takes 7-10 days.

  • Do not use mascara or eye shadow until scabbing is completely peeled off.

  • Swelling and redness is normal for the first few days, as well as a slight stinging sensation.

For Lips

  • The lips will look very intense as well as become swollen for 2-3 days depending on the individual. Usually the scab will peel off after about 5-7 days. During this time the colour will look quite pale, only the lip line will show a light colour. Be patient until the skin matures which will take at least one month, at this point you can see a more natural result.

  • Use clean Q-tips to apply Antibiotic Ointment (Polysporin) 3 times daily for 3 days (If you have allergic reaction to Polysporin, i.e. redness, rash and swelling, stop using Polysporin and see your doctor immediately.)

  • Keep the area MOISTURIZED. Use ointment provided and/or Vaseline. Do not allow lips to dry out.

  • Avoid eating spicy and salty food and use a  straw to drink for the first  few days.
