Must Have Fall Beauty Trends: Your Locks, Lips and Nails
The weather is cooling down and days are getting shorter. Autumn is upon us here on the west coast and you want your look to match the season. Gone are the muted shadows, sherbet lips, technicolour nails and tousled beach waves. There is a focus on eyes this season and a retro flair over all. Here are some great looks that translate well from the catwalks to the sidewalks.

For Your Locks
Braids – Plaited pigtails, braided buns and woven ponytails are a huge hit this season. Tip: Run product through the length of your hair to help hold your badass braid.
Off-Duty Ballerina – the messy high knot buns continue this season, but try mixing it up with a low, elegant, messy chignon.
60’s Inspiration – Sweeping fringes with deep flattened side parts are making a comeback. Add some subtle teasing for a completed retro look. Have short hair? Try a blunt bob with a thick headband.
Ponytails – Sleek, straightened, ultra-long ponytails create a simple, easy, polished look.
Part ways – Need a change without being too drastic? If you usually part to the side, try parting straight down the centre. If you’re a down the middle kind of gal, try a deep side part with a faux side bang.

For Your Lids and Lips
Exaggerated Retro Cat Eye – Keep your face minimal for day, conservatively using nude colours and then spice it up with red lips for night.
Precious Metals – Gold and chocolate liners, pastel grey, silver, copper and gun metal shadows create brilliant smokey eyes and glittery eyelids create a stunning evening look.
Morning After Eyes – A combination of Punk, Grunge and ‘delinquent school girl’, piled on eye shadow extended past the upper lid will create a dramatic moody concept.
Sex Bomb Lashes – Layered mascara and extra long false lashes are frequent this season. Have trouble applying those false lashes? Try the longer lasting eyelash extensions.
Unexpected Flash of Colour – Invest in some bright and sparkly tones of Sapphire, Azure, Cerulean, Cobalt, Purple, Khaki, Fuchsia, Lime, Teal and Orange for bold, bright liners and shadows.
Just Bitten Lips: Natural shades that are a just a shade too flushed to be truly natural are common this season. Tinted balms will help bring the focus to your eyes.

For Your Nails
In the Nude – Sheer pinky nudes to more opaque pale nails continue this fall season. Try nudes, lilacs, taupes and natural manicures and pedicures.
Simply Red – Deep reds and deeper burgundy tones are big this season
Grey Matter & Heavy Metal – Pairing well with your eye colour, gun metals, greys, golds, silvers and coppers are on trend for your paws this season.
